The other night Andrea asked me what my favorite type of food was. I wasn’t sure at the time, but after some thought I think it has to be Caribbean (I’m sure I that’s a pretty broad category). It combines my favorite elements of other cuisines: overabundance of spices..chiles…lots of grilled stuff…lots of fruity things…lots of fish… you get the picture. Tonight was a bastardized version of jerk (cloves, cumin, chiles, etc, broiled hard with a molasses lime finish) with some fried ripe plantains and a salad. Good enough to take a picture.
